The Silver Rule
Why knowing what's not worth doing matters more.
Introduction
I haven't been a fan of rules since I was little. House rules, school rules, traffic rules are of little use for me. So I thought. I recalled the rules written on the wall of the school hall. I could tell there are more rules unwritten on the air.
The Silver Rule is the opposite of the Golden Rule, which I define as "doing things that are worth doing." The historical roots of the Silver Rule reach far back in time in both the East and West. Unlike the written rules on the wall, the Silver Rule influences our lives in many ways.
I haven't set any rules for myself on this writing journey. But if there is any rule, I'll make it as the Silver Rule.
